General Acceptable Use Policy

Illegal Activity

Customers may only use Murray Marketing Services' servers for lawful purposes. Transmission of any material in violation of any Country, Federal, State, or Local regulation is strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to child pornography and housing copyrighted information to which the customer does not hold the copyright or an appropriate license.

Hacking

Websites dedicated to the discussion of hacking activities or the distribution of hacking tools are prohibited. Additionally, the unauthorized usage of Murray Marketing Services' computer systems or network to access any system, service, or network without the owner's consent is expressly forbidden.

Service Disruptions

Engaging in any activity that causes service interruptions to Murray Marketing Services' network/servers or any outside network is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, executing Denial of Service attacks or using maliciously configured software.

Anonymous Proxies

The use of anonymous proxies is prohibited on Murray Marketing Services' network and servers due to potential abuse and negative impacts on both the servers and the network.

Spamming

Customers are not allowed to have content on their site that advocates, sells, or in any way provides tools or methods for sending unsolicited email. Using Murray Marketing Services' servers for relaying unsolicited email or using unsolicited email to advertise for hosted sites is strictly prohibited.

Personal Information Harvesting

Collecting or using personal identifiers without the person's consent, including phishing, internet scamming, password robbery, spidering, and harvesting, is prohibited.

Blacklisting

Customers must avoid actions that result in Murray Marketing Services' IP addresses being listed on abuse databases or blacklists. Such actions may result in suspension or termination of services.

Spoofing/Impersonation

Impersonating another person or entity through the Make Me Modern network, whether via email, internet forums, or any other means, is strictly prohibited.

Spamdexing

Engaging in activities related to Black Hat SEO, Spamdexing, and "scraper sites" is not allowed, as they can severely impact server performance.

Retaliation

Any behavior likely to result in retaliation against Murray Marketing Services' network, website, or employees, including actions leading to a denial of service attack, is strictly prohibited.

Personal Backups

Customers must primarily use Murray Marketing Services' servers for hosting websites and associated email functions. Using the service for data backup or archiving purposes is not allowed.

Adult Content

Running a banner exchange, free adult thumbnail gallery post (TGP), or free adult image galleries is prohibited.

Abusive Scripts/Processes

Using scripts or processes that negatively affect other customers' ability to use their services is forbidden. This includes CPU-intensive CGI/PHP scripts and websites causing excessive traffic.

IRC Bots/Bouncers

All IRC bots and "bouncers" are forbidden.

BitTorrent Software

BitTorrent software is not allowed on Murray Marketing Services' network/servers due to its potential for misuse.

Proxy Software

All proxy software, whether anonymous or otherwise, is prohibited on Murray Marketing Services' network/servers.

Network Daemons

Processes that open network sockets to accept external connections are forbidden. Processes must not use more than their fair share of resources or interfere with other customers' activities.
